Although I am usually an early adopter of most new social media networks, when they come out (go to the picture, I am a shameless #Millennial), I am a grumpy  for a while. But after giving it a go, its ease of use and excellent minimal interface completely conquered me, and now I am an Instamatic.

 

As a kind of visual social network centered entirely on sharing photos, Instagram is a natural favorite of those who love to share every detail of friends and fans in life,so wanting to protect your account seems to throw cold water on the whole idea.This is not the case, Addictions! After going through 5 things to remember to keep your information safe on Instagram.

1. Your phone numbe.r, don’t add to your profile

 

When you fill in your personal information, there are several fields at the bottom designated as "Private Information" on Instagram.

 

When conveying this message, less is more. According to Instagram's privacy policy, even if your mobile number is marked as private, its use is "discovered" by the service on the Internet to help you.

 

Therefore, anyone who happens to have your phone number can use it to try to find your personal Instagram account if you have this information. Better to leave it.

2. Location, location, location-or not

But make sure that your privacy settings on your linked account match your intentions-do you want all your Instagram photos to be posted to the public to your friends, otherwise only the Facebook account? (Should grandma be able to see your party button?)

Double check all the security and privacy settings of the account linked to your Instagram profile.

4. Consider going private, but don’t remember anything.

You have the option of setting your Instagram profile as private-this means that your photos and profile information can only be seen by people you have explicitly granted permission to.

At this time, this is almost the only privacy-related option that you can enable to keep your Instagram profile from prying eyes. Unlike Facebook, it is an all-or-nothing setting, is there a way to make some posts private and public etc. (At least for now.)

In order to make your Instagram profile public, just navigate to the profile of the app, click the gear icon in the upper right corner, and switch the "dedicated" option.

Just remember that anything you post online, through a website or application, is never truly private.

If the service you are using is destroyed, or if your account or even a friend's account is stolen, your private information may suddenly become very public. So never post anything online, you may regret it seriously, no matter how public your account appears.

5. Consider these cunning links

No matter which social network you are using, you will always have to click on a link spam.
